Xavier from the Northern Beaches of Sydney was eliminated last night on Masterchef, which I think was a complete injustice. There was raw lamb, and a marinara without pasta so should his dish of a wonderful looking green Thai curry have sent him home? Obviously we can’t taste what we see yet in my opinion, this hotty should have stayed / even if just for the eye candy. Here is Throngs’ interview with him.
Hi Xavier – Nice to talk to you, sorry that you got eliminated so early.
Why did you decide to enter MasterChef?
Xavier - I have always loved cooking and have been encouraged by my whole family to enter. I never thought I was good enough and couldn’t believe my luck when I got into the top 22. People who know me, know that I am not afraid to give things a go.
How did you and your family/friends feel about you getting into the top 22?
Xavier – They were so supportive and its literally a pinch yourself moment.
You got sent packing because of a great looking Green Thai Curry, did you think you were safe? Did you think someone else deserved to go home?
Xavier – I thought I was safe and had a good dish and was very happy. I thought Daniel not serving up pasta would have let him down and Clarissa under cooked lamb would have sent them home
before myself. If you go to a restaurant and order marinara you expect pasta.
You’ve said you want to open a tapas bar by the beach, being from the Northern beaches, what beach would be your dream pick?
Xavier – Bilgola in the upper Northern Beaches of Sydney. In that area, everything is so expensive so I would love to give good quality food at medium prices with a great view.
What’s your worst cooking disaster?
Xavier – I have burnt rice and pasta and it ruins the whole dish.
Is Clarissa as annoying as she comes across?Xavier – She is still a human being – I don’t think it is the right environment for her and she can’t cope. She is a nice person but sshe doesn’t have the social skills to handle it. My elimination day I had a headache from her singing etc.
Was there any contestants you bonded with?
Xavier – Vern, Jules and Pip. I get on with all yet wasn’t there for a long time so the rivalry wasn’t there yet. I was in the honeymoon period.
Who do you think will be the biggest threat on the boy’s side?
Xavier - Rishi – he is so skilled and a major threat.
The girl’s side?
Xavier – Lucy and Christina.
As we are a TV website can I ask you your favourite and least favourite TV shows?
Xavier – Don’t watch TV.
